Just another night of watching Brenton play video games. Not that I mind. I enjoy watching him play Battlefield 4 and League of Legends. I now know how to play the game! Well, at least League. I'm more privy to PC games than Xbox.
The PC games I actually play are Assassin's Creed and Roller Coaster Tycoon. I like to create things and kill people. It's a place I can vent my frustration (even though it sometimes makes me more frustrated!).
And then there's my DS games. Mostly Pokemon, Harry Potter, and Spyro. Now, the touch screen on my DS broke so I can only play my Game Boy Advance games, which luckily for me is all of them except one (Pokemon Gold).
Now a days though I prefer to watch tv shows. I'm currently re-watching Stargate: Atlantis for the third time. I love that entire series! I watched them backwards because the library didn't get them in order! I watched Stargate: Universe > Stargate: Atlantis > Stargate: SG-1.
Now I know I jumped from video games to tv shows, but that's just how my mind goes!
So.
Stargate: Universe is the last series that takes place in the Stargate universe. The plot is completely different and is a lot more character driven, which is why I love it so much!
Stargate: Atlantis is the second series. It is practically the same as Stargate: SG-1 but with different characters and takes place in a different Galaxy.
Stargate: SG-1 is the first series. It ran for 10 years with Atlantis (5 seasons) and Universe (2 seasons) being its spinoffs making it the longest running sci-fi tv show in North America. Yes the effects are cheesy and the humor is awful. But the character make everything perfect. With their smarts, sexiness and dry humor, I fell in love with them.
I may be a little obsessed at the moment with Stargate, but that's how my life goes. I was obsessed with Doctor Who for a long time, too. I love my tv shows. They are an escape from my reality as are all stories I read and watch. I find comfort in them. Going in these quests and adventures with these characters, feeling their emotions, wanting them to succeed so badly that you bang your hand on the table so hard it smarts for the rest of the episode, that's why I watch them. To escape from a reality that isn't living up to my dreams.
